Colours of Cappadocia

I aimed to shape the fragile beauty of Cappadocia by creating a sense of neutrality in the use of colours. I stayed away from modifying the colours of the photo as I did not want to alter to mood of the experience I was seeing unfold right before my very eyes. I wanted to be true to the colours of the sky and the earth; to take in the beauty of the moment nature was providing us with. I wanted people to see that, although Cappadocia can be this dreamy, wondrous place, it can be depressing too. I don’t want to tell you much more about what it is like there, because when we visit somewhere new which has already been described in so much detail to us, it is never the way we initially imagined.
