The photographs included in this photo essay were taken during my second visit to Scotland in December of 2016. There is something truly incredible about the landscapes in both the Isle of Skye and Glencoe at this time of year. With it's earthy colours, gloomy skies, winding roads, mountainous horizons and jagged pinnacles it sets an almost ominous tone. The folklore and castles also provoke a sense of mystery and wonder which also adds to the experience.
